How Liverpool should line up v Roma

|

Goalkeeper and defence

Loris Karius (Goalkeeper) – Karius should keep his spot in the number one position and really has turned the corner in recent months to push Simon Mignolet further away from him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Right-back) – He should come back into the side and on current form has to be a starter in Klopp’s side. Joe Gomez should be the defender to drop out and it will be interesting to see how these two youngsters develop side-by-side moving forward. Alexander-Arnold for Gomez.

Dejan Lovren (Centre-back) – The no-nonsense defender has to come back into the starting XI and is another that has performed well on the European stage. Ragnar Klavan should drop out in a straight away in the back four. Lovren for Klavan.

Virgil Van Dijk (Centre-back) – He started the game against West Brom and must continue in the heart of defence. Van Dijk arrived at Anfield to help the club get over the line for silverware, but even he may be slightly shocked to be preparing for a Champions League semi-final.

Andrew Robertson (Left-back) – He has to come back into the side and has been a revelation this season since joining from Hull. His energy will be crucial out wide and he should replace Alberto Moreno. Robertson for Moreno.
