Goalkeeper and Defence

Sam Johnstone (Goalkeeper) – Johnstone has been Villa’s clear number one all season and that is not expected to change on Friday. Retains his place.

Ahmed Elmohamady (Right-back) – Elmohamady has filled in well since Hutton’s initial injury, and the Egyptian is expected to start again v Leeds. Retains his place.

James Chester (Centre-back) – Chester has been brilliant all season for Villa, and is expected to line up as usual at the centre of defence. Retains his place.

Mile Jedinak (Centre-back) – With John Terry injured, Jedinak was called upon to fill in for him at centre-back against Cardiff. The Chester-Jedinak partnership managed to keep a clean sheet, and is therefore expected to be retained v Leeds.

Neil Taylor (Left-back) – With Hutton and Tuanzebe out of contention, Wales international Taylor is expected to start at left-back. Taylor for Tuanzebe.
