Dembele failed to make an impact

Moussa Dembele may have helped his side earn a narrow 1-0 win at Celtic Park in the first leg, but the centre-forward was woeful on Thursday in the return leg.

The 21-year-old looked miles off the pace and didn’t seem to go chasing down loose balls as his team desperately searched for a way back into the game.

Based on his performance against Zenit, Dembele did not look capable of playing against one of Europe’s biggest team as he was passenger in the fixture.

The centre-forward even appeared to be a liability for his side in the second half as he failed to hold the ball up, which stopped his teammates from having enough time to join the attack.
