Mauricio Pochettino’s side will need a replay at Wembley to reach the quarter-finals of the competition after a hectic clash at the weekend.
Ian Henderson gave the underdogs a shock lead as half-time was approaching, but second-half goals from Lucas Moura and Harry Kane appeared to have gave the Premier League side victory.
However, there was still time as Steve Davies netted a memorable 93rd minute goal to set up a cup replay.
Spurs had 11 changes to the line up from the team that drew with Juventus in the Champions League as Pochettino gave the rest of his squad to impress.
Foyth lined up in the heart of defence alongside the experienced Toby Alderweireld in just his seventh appearance since his summer arrival.
The 20-year-old is recognised as a ball-playing centre-back and is on the fringes of the first team as it stands.
He has arrived at the north London club as a highly-rated Argentinian and could get another chance to impress in the cup replay.
