Leeds should swoop for Aarons

|

Newcastle United attacker Rolando Aarons is reportedly available for a loan exit in the final week of the January transfer window and Leeds United should try to bring him to Elland Road.

The Chronicle reports that the Premier League side will sanction the 22-year-old’s temporary exit in the second half of the season and that several EFL clubs have already enquired about his signature.

Thomas Christiansen’s side should jump to the front of the queue for the explosive winger and try to bring him to the Yorkshire club.

The Whites could still do with some attacking firepower in their squad to aid a promotion bid in the Championship and the Newcastle fringe player would fit the bill perfectly, while also being a realistic target to chase.

Aarons is a highly-rated player at St James’ Park and a loan spell away could really bring the best out in him.

The left-winger is renowned for having great pace and power, but injures have halted his progress up until now.

He has been unable to force his way into the Newcastle XI on a regular basis this campaign under Rafael Benitez and made just five senior appearances.

However, there is no doubt he could tear it up in the Championship if given a regular run of games and the wide man could really improve Leeds.

Aarons could definitely put pressure on the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski for a starting XI spot at Elland Road, something the club need if they are to force their way into the play-off positions.
