Leeds United are running out of time to get some last-minute business done in the January transfer window, but they should plot a late move for Leicester City midfielder Andy King.

The Whites do already have several options in the centre of the park in the shape of Ronaldo Vieira, Eunan O’Kane, Kalvin Philips and Adam Foresaw.

However, there is plenty of inexperience in there and Thomas Christiansen’s side must compensate for injuries plus suspensions in the second half of the season.

The Yorkshire giants are currently five points adrift of the play-off positions and will need to launch an incredible run of results to finish inside the top six.

Leeds should try to bring in goalscoring midfielder King in the final days of the January transfer window, who would be an excellent addition at Elland Road.

The Daily Mail report that the Foxes would allow his temporary exit this month given the 29-year-old’s lack of minutes this season.

It is understood that Championship clubs Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Sheffield United and Bristol City are all interested in his signature.

However, Leeds should blow their rivals out of the water and get to the front of the queue for his loan signature.

King has a very impressive CV to his name after winning the Premier League, Championship and League One titles all with Leicester.

The Wales international would be the perfect professional to come into the Leeds group and help galvanise a push towards promotion.

He has shown during his career that he can be a serious goal threat from midfield, scoring 61 goals in 374 appearances for Leicester.

King was a crucial part of the Foxes side when they got out of the Championship and his signature would play a massive boost to the current Leeds squad.
