Peterborough striker Jack Marriott helped his side to an FA Cup upset against Aston Villa on Saturday – and Leeds United fans on Twitter have urged the club to try sign him.
The 23-year-old scored two goals to help the League One side come from a goal behind to beat Villa 3-1 in the third round of the FA Cup.
He has now netted 23 goals in 35 appearances this season for Boro and is being tipped to play at a higher level.
News outlet Clubcall have previously reported that Leeds are tracking the duo Marriott and his teammate Marcus Maddison.
Boro’s director of football Barry Fry has revealed that £2million bids have been rejected for both players from unnamed Championship clubs, but that they would clearly have to chance their stance if they received offers in the region of £10million.
Leeds fans on social media have named Marriott as the perfect transfer target for January and would love to see him switch to Elland Road.

Don't want any strikers from league one unless it's Marriott

Marriott has been in sensational goalscoring form this campaign and one of the outstanding players in League One.
The English striker only moved to Boro last summer after previously making a name for himself at Luton.
Leeds do already have a number of strikers in their squad in the shape of Kemar Roofe, Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Caleb Ekuban.
However, Leeds fans want a prolific striker that can help guide the Yorkshire club to promotion in the Championship.
