Leeds United fans took to social media to celebrate reports that Laurens De Bock was set to have a medical with the club on Monday.

Freelance Yorkshire football reporter, Joe Rawson, claimed on his personal Twitter account on Monday that Club Brugge’s De Bock was set to have a medical later in the day, signalling that a day was almost done.

The news that the club seem to be in the final stages of signing a new left-back, had fans praising the defender ahead of any official announcement.

One fan played off the defender’s name stating that the Whites were signing a “left bock” before filling his tweet with positive emojis.

Another fan simply said yes before posting a picture of a Portuguese beer called “Super Bock.”

Leeds United have been in desperate need of a left-back since the start of season, with Gaetano Berardi being the club’s first choice despite being more suited to being a right-back.

Thomas Christiansen has opted to play Berardi ahead of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson even though he is naturally a left-sided defender.

Borthwick-Jackson has only made six appearances this season across all competitions after failing to impress since joining the club on loan from Manchester United in the summer.
