Pawel Cibicki has endured a very frustrating spell so far in English football, but Leeds United manager must now turn to the attacker and give him a run of starts in the team.

The 23-year-old moved to Elland Road in the summer and the striker has barely had a chance in the first team.

He was given two runout in the League Cup back in September and October, but has been a forgotten man of the squad for much of the season so far.

However, a spate of injuries opened the door for the Swede last weekend and he certainly seized his opportunity against QPR.

Cibicki was introduced as a first-half substitute following an injury to Ekuban and really impressed on his Championship debut.

He is regarded as a centre-forward by trade, but impressed on the right flank last weekend as Kemar Roofe shined by scoring a hat-trick when leading the line.

The Yorkshire giants are running thin on the ground given injuries to Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Ekuban, but Christiansen should not be concerned and give his fringe player a real run in the side.

Cibick impressed with his positive and direct running, while he also showed some brilliant touches for a player that is surely lacking match sharpness.

Leeds added the 23-year-old to the squad in the summer and he is worthy of his opportunity after waiting patiently in reserves.

The Yorkshire giants face Norwich on Saturday as they look to build some momentum in their charge for the play-offs and giving Cibicki a start at Elland Road seems like a good move.

He will have the creativity in wide areas to unlock the defence and is certainly a fresh option to have during a busy fixture list.
