Danny Rose completed 90 minutes for Tottenham in the win over Borussia Dortmund – and the club’s supporters raved about his performance on Twitter.

The 27-year-old defender starred as Spurs secured a 2-1 away victory against the German heavyweights in the Champions League group stages.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have now ensured top spot in their group with a game to spare and continued their impressive European form on Tuesday night.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored for the hosts in the first-half to give them the advantage, but Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son struck back in the second period.

The north London club managed to bounce back perfectly from their defeat to rivals Arsenal at the weekend and now turn their attention to a home clash with West Brom in the Premier League.

Spurs fans on social media singled out left wing-back Rose for special praise for his display against Dortmund and feel that he was on great form.

Rose’s future at Spurs is currently in doubt, but he put that aside to play a leading role in an impressive win over Dortmund.

The England international was omitted from the match-day squad at the weekend against Arsenal and made to train with the reserves.

He is yet to cement his position in the side since his return from injury and is currently alternating with teammate Ben Davies at left-back.
