Tottenham expected XI against Real Madrid

Goalkeeper & Defenders

Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) – The France international will skipper the side as he prepares for a busy night against the holders and tournament favourites. Lloris will be confident after his outstanding display in the Bernabeu.

Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – Made a costly and uncharacteristic error against United, but is in no danger of losing his starting place.

Toby Alderweireld (Centre-back) – Has returned to his peerless 2015-16 and 2016-17 form in recent weeks after a mixed start to the season, and is set to start on the right of the three-man defence.

Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – Surprisingly omitted at Old Trafford, the club-record signing is likely to replace Eric Dier in the centre of defence as Spurs revert back to the three centre-backs who have provided the foundation of the team’s title challenge.
