Ezgjan Alioski posted a Twitter message expressing his pride at his parents watching his matchwinning display for Leeds United against Middlesbrough – and fans called on them to come and see him in action every week.
Alioski has had a difficult start to his Elland Road career as early encouraging performances were followed by some shockers that left many of the United hardcore calling for him to be axed.
But Thomas Christiansen has kept faith with the Macedonia international, who scored the second his team’s two goals with a back-post finish in their 2-1 triumph against Boro at Elland Road on Sunday.
It was a second goal in consecutive matches for Alioski and his third in total for the Championship giants, who he joined in the summer after being a prolific scorer and creator at former club Lugano in Switzerland.
The 25-year-old took to Twitter after the match to report that he was “blessed” for his parents to be in the stands for such a notable performance.

Leeds supporters took to social media en masse to express their delight that Alioski had delivered the goods in from of his family, with one even asking for “them to stay for the rest of the season” as a lucky omen.
