Leeds expected XI to face Wolves

|

Goalkeeper and defence

Andy Lonergan (Goalkeeper) – The former Wolves keeper is set be given the chance to play against the club he left in the summer after a solid display against Boro.

Luke Ayling (Right-back) – Returned to somewhere close to his best against Boro after a series of error-prone displays that had prompted calls for him to be axed. Will keep his ever-present league record by lining up on the right side of defence.

Liam Cooper (Centre-back) – The skipper’s form nosedived before the international break but his solid display laid the foundations for the weekend triumph and, assuming he doesn’t suffer from one of his many niggles, will line up in the centre of defence.

Pontus Jansson (Centre-back) – Leeds’ best defender – whatever his Instagram page says – began the process of rediscovering his lost mojo with an aggressive and combative display against Boro. Leeds will need him to be at his commanding best to get any joy at Molineux.

Gaetano Berardi (Left-back) – Wholehearted but limited, Berardi should keep his place even though he is a bomb waiting to go off at any minute and will be targeted by the home side as the weak link in defence.
