Leeds United fans have expressed their excitement on Twitter after young gun Kun Temenuzhkov was included on a list of the world’s outstanding young players.
The Guardian have named the United academy player, who is yet to make his senior bow, among the top 60 rising stars of football.
He is currently playing for Leeds’ Under-23s side after moving to Elland Road from Barcelona during the summer transfer window,
Temenuzhkov was in brilliant form for Barcelona B last season and managed to score 30 goals in as many league games for them.
The Guardian report has compared Temenuzhkov to senior Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez, who is widely regarded as one of the world’s outstanding forwards of the last decade.
“Growing up idolising Luis Suárez, the pint-sized prospect has shown the same predator’s instinct in the penalty area as the Uruguay striker,” the report detailed.
Leeds fans are excited about the potential of the teenager forward and the noise surrounding him.
