Celtic took a rare backwards step in the league as they could secure only a 2-2 draw against Hibernian at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon

It needed a double from recalled midfielder Callum McGregor to extend their remarkable domestic run of undefeated games to 58 and spare the team’s blushes after the midweek win over Anderlecht in the Champions League.

A re-jigged side with five changes struggled for long periods and Hibs – managed by former Hoops boss Neil Lennon – raced into a 2-1 lead and looked set to shatter the long unbeaten record.

McGregor then popped up with a late equaliser to rescue a point before the international break.

Rodgers can reflect on a fine start to the season for his side but there are warning signs that all is no entirely tickety-boo as Celtic aim to sweep all before them for a second consecutive campaign.

This Is Futbol has identified the three things we learned from Saturday’s draw, including a player who just doesn’t fit in at Parkhead.
