Ezgjan Alioski was again given the nod to start for Leeds United in their 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday – and fans slaughtered his display on Twitter.
Attacking midfielder Alioski was named in the starting XI for the 10th time in Leeds’ 11 league fixtures this season even though manager Thomas Christiansen made four changes to the side that lost 3-1 to Cardiff in midweek.
The Macedonia international played 62 minutes at Cardiff and he was given the exact same amount of minutes against Wednesday before departing the Hillsborough pitch.
A Gary Hooper double and a Kieran Lee strike secured the three points for the home side as they stopped Leeds narrowing the gap on leaders Cardiff.
On what was a second consecutive emphatic defeat for Leeds, supporters pointed out where Alioski went wrong on social media.
Many claimed that Alioski has been off the pace for a number of matches, with his crossing and overall play below the necessary standard, and needs to be dropped.
This Is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets:

Alioski has NOT been good enough in the last 3 games, he needs dropping! Lonergan needs to start too #lufc

Feels like an age since Alioski had a good game & it’s reached the point whereby I’m glad to see Sacko coming on. That’s really saying something. #lufc

I like what TC is tryin to do with the team but he needs to rotate players more. Ayling, O’kane, Phillips all looked knackered. Just my opinion but think Alioski needs dropping #lufc

Phillips, Weidwald and Alioski have all been atrocious today. How Hernandez didn’t start is mind blowing. TC needs to sort a lot out! #lufc

Alioski really looked poor today as well. Sitter to put us ahead, crossing was inexcusably bad. #lufc
