Leeds United are reportedly on the verge of signing goalkeeper Kamil Miazek – and fans have taken to Twitter to give the deal the thumbs-up.

BBC Leeds correspondent Adam Pope reported on his personal Twitter account that the 21-year-old Pole, who is currently a free agent, is set to complete a move to Elland Road.

The Championship promotion hopefuls have moved to pick up an out-of-window signing to bolster their squad.

Miazek has been offered a contract by the Championship club and has been with the Under-23s side on trial.

The Polish shot stopper is now set to complete a move to Leeds and experience his first taste of English football.

Leeds fans have taken to social media en masse to react positively to Pope’s update, with many claiming he could be an upgrade on under-fire number one Felix Wiedwald, who has been heavily criticised for recent mistakes.

Others have wondered what the arrival of Miazek would mean for Bailey Peacock-Farrell, the 20-year-old rising star who is currently behind Wiedwald and Andy Lonergan in the keeper pecking order at the club.
