Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to call for Felix Wiedwald to be axed for Saturday’s Championship clash against Reading.
Thomas Christiansen has a selection dilemma after a series of error-strewn performances by the number one before the international break coincided with Leeds slipping to fifth in the table.
The most alarming was Wiedwald’s display in Leeds’ 3-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday before the international break, which led to criticism from supporters and pundits.
Leeds are back in action for the first time in 13 days on Saturday, when they host struggling Reading, who are without a win in five matches and are 20th in the Championship.
Christiansen must decide whether to persist with former Werder Bremen keeper Wiedwald, 27, who arrived for £500,000 in the summer, or turn to his deputy Andy Lonergan for the first time in a league fixture this season.
Supporters have taken to social media to call on the manager to axe Wiedwald and start Lonergan in goal.

Shocking mate. Nothing positive about the bloke, positioning, kicking everything. Defence looks shot to pieces. Get lonergan in
