Leeds United could make four changes to the side that were demolished at Sheffield Wednesday when they return to Championship action this weekend.

Thomas Christiansen’s side were red hot in the early weeks of the season as they scored handfuls of goals, kept it tight at the back and racked up points while playing an expansive style of play that was a massive upgrade on the one-dimensional style under Garry Monk.

But three consecutive away defeats have cooled expectations, brought a reality check and a recognition among the fan base that reaching the magic 80-point mark for the campaign will be as fiendishly difficult as ever.

Christiansen is likely to ring the changes for the home clash against Jaap Stam’s 20th-placed strugglers after a run of three consecutive defeats.

The Leeds manager will need to assess the fitness of a number of senior players, including talisman Pontus Jansson, after he suffered an arm injury against Wednesday, and Eunan O’Kane.
