Ezgjan Alioski was again given the nod to start for Leeds United in their 3-2 win against Ipswich Town on Saturday – and fans delivered mixed verdicts on his display on Twitter.
Alioski was named in the starting XI for the eighth time in Leeds’ nine league fixtures this season as manager Thomas Christiansen made only one change from the side that lost 1-0 to Millwall in the Championship last weekend.
The Macedonia international was replaced at half-time by Kemar Roofe at the New Den but there was no repeat this week as he played the full 90 minutes of the fixture.
Goals from Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Kalvin Phillips and a Bartosz Bialkowski own goal secured the three points for the home side as they maintained their place at the Championship summit.
Supporters of the Yorkshire giants pointed out that Alioski had looked more at ease than the previous weekend, with some hailing his quality on the ball.
However, others were far more critical and were unimpressed with his set pieces and use of the ball.
This Is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets:
I’d have dropped Alioski to left-back to save a sub. He’s not quite there today. Sort of wish we had Sacko on the bench actually. #lufc

Alioski redeems for his questionable crossing and set pieces by putting in a super block at a dangerous Ipswich free kick! #MOT #LUFC #ALAW

Got to say, Alioski’s been very poor with crosses and set pieces in this game. Only a matter of time before Dallas comes on #LUFC #MOT
