West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has heaped tremendous praise on Tottenham ace Harry Kane and believes he is “priceless” to the North London club.

The 24-year-old striker is currently in a purple patch of form in front of goal and will now have his sights on Spurs’ clash against Huddersfield on Saturday.

The England international scored the perfect hat-trick on Tuesday in a 3-0 win over Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League.

He has already netted nine goals in eight appearances across all competitions this season and is being mentioned alongside the top forwards in world football.

West Ham have been on the receiving end of Kane’s sensational goalscoring run as he netted twice at the London Stadium.

Brady has raved about the qualities of Kane and feels it would take a phenomenal fee to ever prize him away from Spurs.

“It did not even need a hat-trick from Harry Kane in the Champions League to remind us he is a killer striker,” Brady wrote in her column for the Sun. “His Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino said after he scored against us (West Ham) last week at the London Stadium: “I am in love with him.”

“To Pochettino, his lean, mean, scoring machine is priceless and not only for his instinct to be in the right place at the right time to complete the task for which football exists. Only a few elite clubs could afford the fee for this young man with the traditional values of hard toil and working-class common sense.”

OPINION

Kane’s current form deserves him to be spoken about as one of the best centre-forwards in the world and he has been doing this consistently over the past couple of seasons. The striker doesn’t have an obvious weakness to his game and his scoring a wide range of goals. The Premier League is blessed with some phenomenal forwards, but Kane is surely the best of the bunch. Spurs would surely never allow their talisman to leave the club, but he would smash the £100million barrier if he did move on.
