Daniel Candeias starred for Rangers in their win over Hamilton on Friday night – and the club’s supporters raved about his performance on Twitter.

The 29-year-old winger helped the Gers record an impressive 4-1 away victory against Hamilton which helped them rise up to third in the league table.

The hosts took the lead through Danny Redmond in the first minute, but Pedro Caixinha’s side quickly responded through Declan John with his quick double.

Candeias then added a third shortly after with a drilled short in the penalty area and he rushed to celebrate with his manager on the touchline.

Graham Dorrans managed to add a fourth in the second-half from the penalty spot, but Ryan Jack was sent off.

Rangers fans picked out the display of Candeias following the Hamilton win and believe his brilliant work-rate made him a standout player on the pitch.

Candeias has become an ever-present in the Rangers XI following his summer move and has divided opinion so far.

However, he put in one of his best performance against Hamilton and proved a great outlet on the right flank.

He has now managed three goals and four assists this season, something he will be keen to add to moving forward.

Candeias’ emotional celebration following his first league goal showed how much it meant to him and that is something that will endear him to supporters.
