Tottenham kept up their fast start to this year’s Champions League campaign with a 3-0 away victory at Apoel Nicosia in Cyrpus on Tuesday night.

Harry Kane scored their first goal against the run of play in the 39th minute, and Apoel can consider themselves unlucky not to have taken the lead themselves.

And Apoel had chances in the second half as well, but they were denied by some good saves from keeper Hugo Lloris.

However, in the end they were undone by a ruthless hat-trick from Kane.

Spurs’ talismanic striker scored a quick-fire brace in the second half, in the 62nd and 67th minutes, to leave his side with six points from six after their win against Borussia Dortmund a fortnight ago.

Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund in the other Group H game, to leave the Germans and Apoel with no points from their first two games.

Spurs and Real Madrid share the top spot with the same goal difference of +5.

This Is Futbol has rated the Tottenham players out of ten, but it wasn’t all good in Cyprus.
