Vurnon Anita completed 90 minutes for Ledes in their win over Nottingham Forest – and the club’s supporters raved about him on Twitter after the game as he quickly becomes a firm fan favourite.
The 28-year-old ace helped the Whites record a 2-0 away victory at the City Ground and it means they are third in the Championship going into the international break.
Thomas Christiansen’s side have now managed four consecutive clean sheets in the league and their defence is becoming a formidable unit.
Meanwhile, the Yorkshire giants proved they are not missing the goals of Chris Wood as Kemar Roofe and Ezgjan Alioski netted for the visitors
Leeds fans were overjoyed with their victory on social media as their bid for promotion continues to grow and were particularly impressed with Anita.
The versatile player has been used mainly as a left-back so far at Elland Road and stood out to supporters due to his consistency.

Anita completed a move to Leeds this summer on a free transfer after leaving Newcastle and has made an instant impact at Elland Road.
The Dutchman was promoted from the Championship last season with the Magpies, but then released after five years in the North East.
Leeds have benefited hugely from Anita’s departure and he already looks a key part of Christiansen’s squad.
He is recognised as a defensive midfielder by trade, but has shown his quality by filling in at both full-back positions during his career.
Anita is currently ahead of team-mate Cameron Borthwick-Jackson in the pecking order and is set to remain in the starting XI if his impressive performances continue.
