Three Leeds players who do not deserve new contracts

|

Pablo Hernandez

Slightly harsh on Hernandez, but the 32-year-old will be 33 by the time his contract is up and a new deal at Elland Road would be a bad bit of business on the Yorkshire giants’ part.

Still a first-team regular, the former Valencia star’s form has dipped since first joining Leeds from Al-Arabi and the emergence of Samu Saiz should convince Christiansen that a new contract is not needed.

Saiz scored a hat-trick on his debut against Port Vale on Wednesday and is now in line to start against Preston on Saturday, which would see Hernandez drop to the bench. Come June 2018, he may have already moved on.
