Forrest can save Celtic transfer money

Forrest, 26, provided Celtic with an energetic display that saw him prove to be a constant thorn in a resolute Rosenborg defence for an entire 90 minutes.

Starting up front, the pocket-sized dynamo never gave the Norwegian outfit a moment’s rest, and came close to scoring in the first half only for Hansen to produce a magnificent point-blank save.

But after moving out to the right flank following the introduction of Leigh Griffiths, Forrest shined and his display was encapsulated with the goal.

With Patrick Roberts still in need of replacing, Rodgers must give Forrest the chance to be that man which would spare Celtic from having to re-enter the transfer market.
