West London Sport claim Leeds are one of three Championship sides currently interested in 26-year-old Brentford captain Dean, along with Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City.

Commanding centre-back Dean has proven time and time again that he has what it takes to shut out Championship opposition, starring for the Bees last season.

The former Southampton ace made a total of 42 Championship appearances last season, helping his side keep 12 clean sheets as well as scoring three goals and adding three assists.

It is said that a figure of just £2million would see Brentford allow Dean to move on to pastures new with only 12 months remaining on his current contract.

Making 120 Championship appearances throughout his career, Dean would be installed as first choice alongside Jansson, leaving Pennington and Cooper as cover.
