Reto Ziegler
Swiss broadcaster RTS Sport claim on their website that 31-year-old free agent Reto Ziegler is being eyed by Christiansen’s side ahead of a potential transfer to Yorkshire.
Starring as captain of Swiss giants FC Sion last season, a more experienced Ziegler was used at centre-back and developed the reputation of a goalscoring defender as he found the back of the net nine times in 31 games.
Possessing pace and a fantastic left foot, the 35-time Switzerland international boasts bags of experience and plenty of quality still left in the tank.
With that in mind, the former Tottenham and Wigan star would be the ideal candidate at left-back as he can add an extra attacking dimension to Leeds’ play while also adding cover at centre-back – all of this on a free. A must buy.
