Thomas Christiansen is reportedly in the market for a new left-back at Leeds as he finally looks to replace the loss of Charlie Taylor.

Taylor, 23, departed the Elland Road club earlier this summer after rejecting multiple contract offers before signing on the dotted line with Premier League side Burnley.

The Yorkshire giants have been credited with an interest in two left-sided defenders in recent reports, and This Is Futbol considers which of the two defenders would prove to be the best signing at Elland Road:

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

Bleacher Report’s transfer expert Dean Jones claimed on his personal Twitter account that the Whites are expected to confirm the loan signing of the 20-year-old defender.

Currently at Manchester United, the former Wolves loanee has found first-team opportunities hard to come by and although he has broken into Jose Mourinho’s first team, the jury is still out over his quality.

Borthwick-Jackson was loaned to Leeds’ Championship rivals Wolves for the first half of the 2016-17 campaign but struggled to secure any first-team football and managed just seven appearances.

The fleet-footed defender will need to show improvement if he is to be a key member of the Leeds side next season, as Christiansen eyes promotion.
