Newly promoted Premier League club Brighton have had a seven-figure bid rejected for KAA Gent attacker Moses Simon, who is also being tracked by Tottenham, according to the Daily Mail.

The news outlet have detailed on their website that the Seagulls have have an £8.4million bid turned down for the 22-year-old with the Belgian top-flight side said to be valuing him at £13million.

However, this bid could now prompt other Premier League sides to make a move with each of Tottenham, Liverpool and West Brom named in the report to have been tracking him.

Simon is said to have impressed Spurs when he played against them in the Europa League in February and it is claimed that this is when he drew attention from other English sides.

Alongside his displays over the two legs Simon played a frequent role in the Gent side, who reached the quarter finals of the Europa League, playing in 42 matches in all competitions and returning five goals and seven assists.

He is now going into the final two years of his contract at Gent and at £13million the 11-time capped international is certainly affordable to a number of Premier League sides.

Tottenham, meanwhile have not made a signing this summer and supporters are keen for that to change with another Champions League campaign coming up next season.
