European giants Borussia Dortmund are “ready to make a move” for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud as they look to replace Chelsea bound Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Mirror.

The news outlet have detailed on their website that the 30-year-old Gunners man is highly sought after with all of Everton, West Ham, Marseille and AC Milan interested in signing him this summer.

However, Dortmund could now leap to the front of the queue for the 64-time capped France international given their status in European football.

Giroud himself only agreed a new three-year deal at Arsenal in January, but following the addition of Alexandre Lacazette this summer it is said that he fears first team opportunities maybe harder to come by next season.

Additionally, with the World Cup in Russia coming up next summer it is reported that the Frenchman knows he is going to have to play regularly next season to even hold a chance of making the progressive France team.

The experienced forward was limited to 40 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal last season with 29 of them coming in the Premier League.

He managed a return of 16 goals and seven assists in those matches and both Everton and West Ham are reportedly looking to add some firepower to their team this summer.
