Celtic have agreed to the terms of a loan move which will see midfielder Jamie Lindsay move on loan to Ross County for the 2017-18 campaign, it was confirmed on Monday.

The Hoops announced via their official Twitter account and website that the 21-year-old was set to spend the season on loan in the Premiership with Jim McIntyre’s side.

The loan move marks Lindsay’s third in his so far short professional career after spending time with Dumbarton and Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship in both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.

He ended up playing 68 times in total for both sides, returning three goals and three assists and was also named Dumbarton’s Young Player of the Year in 2016.

But, he is still waiting to make his senior debut for Celtic and it is looking as though time may be running out for Lindsay at his age.

However, a move to Ross County presents him the opportunity to showcase his talents in Scotland’s highest division alongside the possibility of giving manager Brendan Rodgers something to think about.

Celtic, meanwhile are well covered in the central midfield area in their senior side with stars Scott Brown and Stuart Armstrong holding the two starting spots, while Nir Bitton and new signing Kundai Benyu can cover the aforementioned two.
