Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has named no summer signing in his starting eleven which takes on Linfield in the Champions League qualifying stage on Friday.

Jonny Hayes was the only one to be included in the squad and starts from the bench, as he reunites with Northern Irishman Rodgers following a move from Premiership runners-up Aberdeen earlier in the summer.

Meanwhile, last season’s prolific striker Moussa Dembele also starts as a substitute with forward Leigh Grifiths leading the line.

The Glasgow giants have travelled to Ireland, where they will take on Linfield for the Champions League qualifying second round first leg.

Celtic announced their confirmed line-up on their official Twitter account prior to the 5.00pm kick off.

Celtic will be hoping for a win against Linfield on Friday with the second leg swiftly following on Wednesday at Parkhead.

The Hoops achieved qualification to the Champions League in the last campaign with wins over Gibraltan side Lincoln Red Imps, Kazakhstan-based club Astana and Israeli outfit Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

However, the group stage proved to be one stop too far for Rodgers’ side, after they were dumped out after three losses and three draws from their six matches.

They will be hoping for better results this time around and alongside Hayes, Rodgers has added midfielders Kundai Benyu and Olivier Ntcham to his team this summer from Ipswich and Manchester City respectively.
