Graham labels exit rumours as nonsense

Wolves winger Jordan Graham has labelled rumours that he is on his way out of the club as “nonsense” and that he was left behind by the club for their tour of Austria due to a knee injury.

The 22-year-old was a noticeable omission for Nuno Espirito Santo’s team which flew out on Monday for their camp which also saw Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Helder Costa Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Dominic Iorfa among others to miss out due to various reasons.

But, the lack of Graham caused much speculation that he could be set for a departure with former boss Paul Lambert revealing back in February that he had been disciplined by the club, which saw him feature just twice afterwards.

However, Graham has now posted on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday that a “knock” to his knee last Thursday ruled him out of the trip and that he’s back in training with the club away from Austria now.

Graham suffered torn knee ligaments in January 2016, which was expected to keep him out for between nine to 12 months.

However, his return didn’t come until 15 months later when he came on as a substitute against Huddersfield in the 1-0 defeat in May.

He was very highly rated in the Wolves ranks before the serious injury, making 14 senior appearances for the club alongside returning one goal and seven assists and he will now be keen to regain his form as he enters the final year of his contract.
