Tottenham fans have been speculating a possible return for attacking midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson after the club Tweeted that it had been five years since his signing on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Iceland international made the switch to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2012 for a fee of £8.8million from Hoffenheim after a successful loan spell with Swansea.
However, just two years and 83 appearances later he was on his way back to the Welsh club in a swap deal with full-back Ben Davies.
Now, on Tuesday July 4 the official Tottenham Twitter account has posted a highlight reel of some of Sigurdsson’s best goals in a Spurs shirt after marking the five-year anniversary since his joining.

Tottenham have so far failed to bring in anyone this summer, but they will be hoping for a better window than last year’s as they aim for another attempt at the Premier League title.
