OPINION

Thomas Christiansen could exact revenge this summer after Charlie Taylor’s move to Premier League side Burnley from Leeds was reportedly reignited.

Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay revealed on his personal Twitter account that a tribunal could still be avoided if the Clarets agree a fee with the Yorkshire giants for 23-year-old left-back Taylor.

The Leeds academy product is set to leave Elland Road after rejecting contract offers from his boyhood club, but Christiansen should have the last laugh by eyeing up moves for three of Burnley’s senior stars.

The Spanish manager has already brought in goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald from Werder Bremen while Poland international Mateusz Klich joins from FC Twente, after Hadi Sacko had signed a permanent deal at Leeds.

This Is FutbolĀ identified three players that could go in the opposite direction to Taylor by leaving Turf Moor and joining Christiansen’s pursuit of promotion to the Premier League this summer.
