Tottenham will be missing out on a trio of players at the beginning of next season, according to a report in The Times.

The newspaper reports that three players, including an attacker, winger and defender, will be sidelined with injury which could lead to a disappointing beginning of Spurs’ 2017/18 campaign.

The Times claim that the trio could be out for the opening games of the season meaning that the Spurs stars could miss out on the first game against Newcastle, with the possibility of missing out on other important matches against Chelsea and Everton.

Spurs finished second in the Premier League behind Chelsea last season after collecting 86 points throughout the campaign, and boss Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to improve the club’s chances and win the title in the coming year.

Here are the three players who won’t be appearing in the Spurs line up during the beginning of the 2017/18 season, including a young goal-scoring sensation:
