Tottenham: Three players set to miss the start of the season

|

1. Erik Lamela

Spurs winger Erik Lamela has been missing from the Tottenham squad since October 2016, and according to The Times report he will be out until October this year.

Lamela has suffered from a serious hip injury, and has undergone two separate surgeries in the past three months to correct the problem.

The Argentinian was sidelined after the club’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool in the EFL Cup on October 25, and has failed to made an appearance since.

The 25-year old only managed nine Premier League appearances during the club’s 2016/17 campaign and missed out on a staggering 40 games.

The Argentina international has recently begun his rehabilitation back in South America and looks likely to miss out on some of the key starting games for Tottenham.
