Nottingham Forest have reportedly tabled a formal offer for Hibernian goalscorer Jason Cummings, and fans on Twitter are excited.
Sky Sports claimed on their official website on Sunday evening that the Championship club had submitted a bid worth in excess of £1million for the 21-year-old, as they kick-off their summer transfer business.
Cummings was in superb goalscoring form for Hibernian last season, scoring 23 goals from 40 appearances in all competitions as the Edinburgh-based side sealed promotion to the Scottish Premiership.
However, the young centre-forward could be set to swap a shot at Scotland’s top division for life under Mark Warburton, with the Nottingham Forest manager having previously shown an interest in him during his time as Rangers boss.
Warburton has yet to put his own stamp on the squad he inherited in mid-March, but with Cummings looking like their first piece of business, fans on Twitter have delivered their verdicts.

Can't say I've heard of him before but Cummings certainly sounds a strong signing. I like that we are going to brittish clubs now #Nffc

Cummings is under contract at Hibernian until the summer of 2020, having been at the club since 2013.
The Scotland Under 21 international has netted 71 goals and supplied 19 assists from 149 appearances in all competitions during his time at the club.
However, if Nottingham Forest prove successful in their efforts, Cummings will be cutting his time at Hibernian well short, having made a lasting impression on Warburton during his time in Scotland.
