Championship side Sheffield Wednesday are ready to make a bid for Rangers target Graham Dorrans, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims that the Owls are prepared to take on the Scottish giants to land the 30-year-old Norwich City midfielder.

The Mail reports that Rangers have already made a bid worth £1million but Sheffield Wednesday are ready to offer Norwich more money in order to the acquire the services of the Scotland international.

Sheffield Wednesday have fallen short in the play-offs for two seasons in row and they feel that the Scottish midfielder could provide the necessary quality to a team that will be pushing for promotion to the Premier League next season.

It is also reported that Norwich would like Rangers to offer more money for Dorrans and an increased bid could be put on the table next Wednesday.

This news follows the report in the Scottish Sun that the SPL giants were feeling confident about the Dorrans deal going through this summer.

Dorrans has been a regular in the Norwich side throughout this campaign, making 24 appearances in all competitions and notching up six goals.

The midfielder is a player with vast experience playing at the top level as he has made a total of 142 Premier League appearances with West Brom and Norwich.
