Leeds United are set to buy up to 10 new players this summer as the radical revamp of the team continues, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The regional newspaper claims the Championship club’s incoming deals “are likely to run close to double figures” as new manager Thomas Christiansen is presented with a squad of players that will be totally different to that which finished last season under Garry Monk.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report deals are in place for Huesca forward Samuel Saiz and Werder Bremen goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald to join central midfielder Mateusz Klich, who signed from FC Twente last week, as new arrivals at Elland Road.

It is said that the expected 10 deals will include 2016-17 loanees Hadi Sacko and Pontus Jansson, who have agreed to accept permanent contracts after making a big impact under Monk.

Wiedwald is set to be presented as Leeds’ second new arrival of the summer in the next 24 hours after jetting in from Germany to undergo a medical with the club.

United have agreed to pay Bundesliga outfit Bremen £500,000 for the 27-year-old keeper even though they already have three goalkeepers in the first-team squad, Rob Green, Marco Silvestri and Bailey Peacock-Farrrell.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report that Leeds are also confident of beating La Liga club Eibar to the signing of versatile forward Huesca and cite sources as saying that the deal will be wrapped up within days.

It is expected that Saiz will travel to England to finalise the terms of his transfer at the start of next week, by which point Leeds’ number of summer signings could be five.
