Leeds United target Mateusz Klich sent supporters of the club into a frenzy on social media on Thursday after uploading an image to his Snapchat account in which he was sent to board an airport flight.
The FC Twente central midfielder also included an accompanying message that stated “On my way” followed by an emoji of a thinking face.
Klich’s teasing message suggested he is well aware of the speculation surrounding his future after Dutch publications De Telegraaf and Tubantia both reported on Tuesday that Leeds want to land Poland international Klich before the summer transfer window shuts and that talks are at an advanced stage.
Yorkshire Evening Post correspondent Phil Hay subsequently claimed on his personal Twitter account that the Championship club are strongly pursuing Klich but it will require some extensive negotiating with Twente to push the deal over the finish line.

De Telegraaf are renowned as Holland’s most reliable source of transfer news and their report suggests that Leeds “beckons” for Klich as the club work intently on presenting new manager Thomas Christiansen with new signings before the start of the 2017-18 season.
Christiansen and recently appointed Leeds director of football Victor Orta have both stated this week that plans are underway for the team to be significantly revamped in the summer window.
Leeds’ only signing of the summer to date has been the capture of right-winger Hadi Sacko, whose 2016-17 season-long loan has been converted into a permanent transfer.
