Chelsea are ready to make a concrete bid for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele this summer, according to a Daily Record report.

The newspaper claim the Premier League champions and Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are likely to table formal offers to try and tempt Celtic into selling their prize asset in the forthcoming window.

The Record report that Chelsea and Dortmund are the most keen to make big-money moves for £30million-rated Dembele amid strong interest from a number of leading European clubs.

It is said that the Scottish champions have no intention of cashing in on the French striker, 20, this summer as they plan for him to spearhead their Champions League qualification campaign.

This comes amid strong interest in Dembele from AC Milan, who are keen for a second round of talks with the player’s representatives following initial discussions a month ago.

The France Under-21 international scored 32 goals and provided nine assists in 49 league and cup games for Celtic last season following his free transfer from Fulham.

He lost out to teammate Scott Sinclair in the voting for Scottish player of the year after injury and mixed form following a storming start to his career at Parkhead.

Celtic legend Tom Boyd has urged Dembele to stick with the Glasgow giants amid interest from Europe’s elite.
