Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos has revealed on social media that he has finalised a transfer to Rangers.

It has been widely reported that the 20-year-old is on the verge of a move to Ibrox from Finnish club HJK Helsinki.

Morelos has now changed the bio on his personal Instagram page to read “jugador profesional Rangers”, which translates as “professional player at Rangers”.

There has been some wait for Morelos to be officially announced by the Glasgow giants, after he was pictured in Edinburgh at the start of the week amid reports he was undergo a Rangers medical.

The Scottish giants are yet to make an announcement that the deal is done while they wait for a work permit to be granted to the south American.

But Morelos has clearly got word that the transfer will be wrapped up in order for him to become Pedro Caixinha’s sixth summer capture following Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Fabio Cardoso, Dalcio and Daniel Candeias.

The former Independiente Medellin forward has been in hot form in the currently on-going Finnish top flight.

He has scored 11 goals in 12 matches, but was left out of the squad for a match against JJK on Thursday, seemingly due to his move to Scotland.

This comes after he ran riot last season when he netted 30 times in 43 matches, three of which came in the Europa League.

Now, if he does transfer to Rangers as it is looking likely fans will be hoping that he can adapt to life in Scotland and continue his goalscoring exploits.
