Monday morning was not good start to the week for West Ham fans hoping to hear positive news about their transfer dealings.

Firstly, an insider from the club reported that talks over a move for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho had stalled, after the Sun had revealed last month that the Hammers had made a £20million bid for the youngster.

The clubs hopes of securing a deal for another promising youngster also took a blow, with a journalist reporting on Twitter that their £7million bid for KAS Eupen winger Henry Onyekuru had been turned down.

Manager Slaven Bilic is in desperate need for a goal scorer this summer, with just three recognised forwards in his squad, two of which are currently laid up with injury.
