Tottenham academy ace Kyle Walker-Peters “will” make his first team debut for the club next season, according to Football.London.

The 20-year-old right-back has not yet broken into Mauricio Pochettino’s first team with both Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier ahead of him in the full-back pecking order.

However, he is highly rated in the youth ranks and this summer he starred alongside teammate Joshua Onomah as the England Under-20s lifted the World Cup in South Korea.

Now, with Walker also expected to depart this summer and a number of new right-backs linked with a move to White Hart Lane Football.London have firmly stated that Walker-Peters will be handed first team minutes in Pochettino’s team next season.

Fellow academy stars Cameron Carter-Vickers, Harry Winks and Onomah are also mentioned in the report as players who Pochettino is looking to integrate further into the first team and the quartet are said to be influencing the club’s summer business as an incoming player could block their progression in the starting eleven.

Both Tottenham and Pochettino have built up a reputation for handing opportunities to their young stars and supporters will be keen to see the club continue their ethos of bringing players up through the academy.
