West Ham are ready to pay London rivals Arsenal £50million for attacking duo Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud, according to the Daily Star.

The pair have separately been linked with a move to east London this summer with the Mirror reporting that the Hammers were weighing up a £25million bid for Walcott, while the Mirror also reported that West Ham were prepared to splash the cash to secure the £20million signing of Giroud.

Now, the Star believes that West Ham will launch a mega £50million offer to acquire both players from the Gunners.

It is however detailed that Slaven Bilic’s team now face a battle in persuading Arsenal to accept their offer, but with Arsene Wenger looking to bring in such players Kylian Mbappe and Alexandre Lacazette this summer it is understood that he is also willing to sell the duo.

Walcott, 28, featured in 37 matches in all competitions last season, returning 19 goals and two assists from his right-wing position.

Meanwhile, Giroud, 30, played three times extra, but returned three less goals while also turning provider with seven assists.

Both players have entered the final two years of their contracts at Arsenal and Bilic may see them as the perfect mix of experience and quality to add to his team this summer.
