Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Everton defender Brendan Galloway during the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

Forest manager Mark Warburton is looking to make improvements on their poor performances last season as they needed a victory on the final day of the Championship campaign to avoid relegation.

Galloway was sent out on loan to Premier League side West Bromwich Albion last season but he failed to become a regular starter at the club, making only five appearances in all competitions.

The 21-year-old made three appearances for the Under 23-side but he spent the majority of his loan spell watching on from the substitutes’ bench.

The youngster returned to the Merseyside club in April but he was unable to break into the first team as he did not feature in any of the matchday squads for the remainder of the season.

The Englishman enjoyed his best campaign at Goodison Park during the 2015-16 where he featured in 19 Premier League matches.

Galloway’s current contract with Everton expires in 2020.

Galloway is not the only player who has been linked with a move to the City Ground this summer as the Times recently reported that the Midlands club are plotting potential moves for Queens Park Rangers duo Jake Bidwell and Massimo Luongo.
