Ryan Babel

Ryan Babel worked under Benitez for three full seasons during their spell at Liverpool.

The Dutchman was one of the most exciting talents in Europe at the time and although he produced flashes of brilliance, he was unable to find his rhythm in the Premier League.

The 30-year-old played for La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna and Turkish outfit Besiktas last season and he demonstrated that he is still capable of producing the goods, scoring 17 goals and providing six assists in all competitions.

Despite having two years left on his current contract, the winger is valued at just under £5million and he would be able to provide an attacking spark for Newcastle in the upcoming campaign.
