Inter Milan are ready to rival Juventus in the race to sign Arsenal ace Wojciech Szczesny, according to a London Evening Standard report.

The newspaper claims the 27-year-old goalkeeper is set to move this summer, after two seasons on loan at Roma, and he is weighing up a move to Juventus.

However, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reported to have slapped a £15million price tag on Szczesny, and with Juve yet to agree to that fee, Inter are set to hijack the move from their fierce rivals.

The report states Inter have not made a formal approach to sign the 29-time Polish international yet, but their new manager Luciano Spalletti is keen, having worked with him at Roma last term.

This comes after Sky Sports News reported earlier this month that the Gunners had “agreed a deal in principle” with Juve for the transfer of Szczesny this summer.

Meanwhile, the Sun claimed on Wednesday that Arsenal’s asking price for the shot-stopper had risen to £20million following the £30million that Everton paid for Jordan Pickford .

The Pole has impressed in his two seasons in Italy and last season he was a mainstay between the sticks for Roma, playing all 38 league games.

The 27-year-old arrived at the Emirates from Polish outfit Legia Warsaw in the summer of 2006, and he went on to make 181 appearances across all competitions for the club.
